The Hood Hikers is an outdoor adventure company based in New York City that welcomes individuals of all races and genders to experience the beauty of nature in a safe and inclusive environment. Their focus is to create a space where black and brown people can enjoy the outdoors on their own terms. To make their events accessible to everyone, they offer "pay what you can" tickets for those with limited finances. The company also organizes curated hikes and other outdoor activities, along with transportation services, to take people out of the city and into the woods. These events provide a much-needed escape from the stresses of busy city life. The Hood Hikers' activities include dancing, singing, laughter, meditation, yoga, and reconnecting with one's ancestors while enjoying nature's beauty.

The Hood Hikers has an inspiring mission of "From the Hood to the Woods", which aims to provide access to hiking and adventure for all black and brown individuals, regardless of gender or income bracket. Through their story, viewers will learn about the company's origins and their efforts on a mission to help black and brown people from the city explore nature through outdoor adventures in different ways, through fun hiking trips, sponsoring hiking guide licenses, and fostering meaningful connections amongst hikers.
